Our Story:
A few years ago, it was estimated that 10,270 children under the age of 14 will be diagnosed with cancer and 1,190 of those children will die of the disease. This statistic had never had such an impact on me before. My healthy, active 14-year old son, Jacob, was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma in January of 2016. After a year of endless appointments, hospital admissions, aggressive chemotherapy, radiation, multiple surgeries and finally a bone marrow transplant, he lost his battle.
In an effort to help ease the burden that this devastating disease can cause in the lives of the children and their families who are fighting it, I’ve created a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to encourage awareness, support and work in cooperation with local charitable organizations. Together we can provide families with needs and resources while they focus on their child's treatment.
